Standard Coat
Description
This is the "default" rat's coat. Without other coat modifiers, a rat will have smooth, straight fur, an undercoat, guard hairs, and straight whiskers.
Standard coats, like everything else, can very in quality depending on the lesser modifiers it has acting on it. Some rats have very fine, soft fur, almost rabbit-like, and some have a very slick, glossy coat that is often mistakenly referred to as "Satin."
Standards
All rat clubs consider any rat that is not Rex, Satin or Hairless to be of Standard coat when showing.
