Cinnamon

 

Description

 

Cinnamon is a very attractive color, a warm red Agouti with orange and black banding on the hairs. The color ideally resembles cherry wood. The tips on the hairs have a bright orange tone to them, but is not very yellow. The underfur and belly are greyish. The eyes should be as dark a ruby as possible, or black.

 

Genetics

 

A-/ m/m

 

An Agouti rat with a double-recessive of Mink. Since Mink is VERY altered by the other recessives, color can very widely due to the presence of carried American BlueRussian Blue, Beige, and others.

 

 

Standards

 

AFRMA

"Color is similar to agouti, except the color is a warm russet brown, with medium slate at the base of the hair. Coat is evenly ticked with chocolate. Belly color to be as agouti, but of a lighter shade. Eye color is ruby or black."

 

RSA

"Color: To be a warm russet brown, evenly ticked with darker guard hairs. Base fur mid-gray. Belly fur as Agouti but of a lighter shade. Foot color to match top. Eye Color: Ruby or Black."

"Agouti version of mink.  A warm, deep red-brown color with deep slate undercoat.  Eyes black."

 

URS

"Color is to be a warm, russet brown, evenly ticked along the length of the hair with darker banding. Undercoat to be a medium gray. Belly and foot color to be a lighter gray version of top color. Eyes to be black or ruby."
